I live in South Africa, and here, as you...Dear Dr G<br />I live in South Africa, and here, as you can imagine, after the destruction of Apartheid, Affirmative Action (AA), and Black Empowerment (BE) are everyday catchwords. Although I am also an Apartheid-affected person, I have a distaste for the application of these 'remedial' actions because in SAfrica it has spawned disastrous consequences, like instating incompetent "previously disadvantaged" persons into crucial positions simply to adhere to AA and BE.
